The beauty of Old & Vintage Music Records

It was probably nine years old when I heard my first record. It was Nat King Cole's "Only a of those things' and my grandmother had to play while she was sewing. I remember thinking it sounded so different from the other music I've heard. At that time, I thought it sounded horrible. I asked my grandmother why they listened to music that sounded harsh and crisp when she had a CD player that played great music. She then told me that just because the new music was lighter, did not mean it was better. A few years later I found an old record player in our basement and decided to connect it and test it. My mom had a bunch of records in a table below, but few really interested me. Cat Stevens Greatest Hits I picked up and went to my room. Once you clean the registry (which had gotten a little mold in the basement!) I put the needle down and started to listen to an original version Matthew and Son. I had that album on CD, and thought it was great, until I heard it in history. I was so surprised by the sound of how deep and exciting sounded! The trumpets seemed to go right out to you and every note rang Stevens played more and more beautiful. For the first time I could close my eyes and imagine what it would to see the artist in person. It was then that I developed a love of Cat Stevens, but also by the experience of listening to records. Since that time I have purchased three disc players and nearly a hundred records. Some were of a dollar at the local Goodwill, other collectors were issues that had to search to find, But each has a meaning for me. Each one brings me to a time or place, whether in the sewing room of my grandmother when I was nine years old, or a dance when I was in middle school. Now that I'm older I feel very grateful to my grandmother for introducing me to the records and for sharing experiences with the audience Let invaluable.
